The Man Behind the Words
About Orville
"Exploring worlds real, imagined, and everything in between."
It started with a television commercial. A young Orville Wright caught a glimpse of the Radio Shack TRS-80 and knew, in that instant, his life would be shaped by technology.
The Technologist
What followed was a journey that took him from learning BASIC in high school and COBOL on mainframes in college, to becoming the person everyone in every office called when anything — computers, fax machines, phone systems, even the copier — stopped working.
In June of 1993, he turned that passion into purpose, founding his own consulting practice in Glendale, Arizona. With characteristic humor, he notes he was likely the only computer consultant in history to launch a tech business without owning a computer. Over three decades later, he has evolved into a technology convergence specialist — helping clients seamlessly manage and merge their digital lives: documents, devices, printers, phones, hardware, and software, ensuring everything works smoothly and seamlessly together.
The Dreamer
But Orville is more than a technologist. He is, at heart, a dreamer.
A lover of language — particularly the kind of words that don't just name a thing but fully capture a concept — he spent years crafting technical materials, descriptive frameworks, and monthly spiritual talks for congregations, developing a voice that is at once precise and deeply human. That voice eventually found its way onto the page.
The Author
His first published work, The Secret Oracle, brings his technical expertise to everyday readers — a practical, elegant guide to password security that combines the simplicity of a journal with real-world digital safety insights.
His upcoming book, Yearning for Acceptance, ventures into far more personal territory. Born from an unexpected moment — a traffic ticket, an AI sounding board, and a hollow victory his family barely celebrated — it explores humanity's growing dependence on digital validation and what we risk losing when algorithms replace authentic human connection.
His forthcoming novel, In Search of Truth, continues that spiritual thread — a science fiction journey that wrestles with the deepest questions of faith, existence, and what lies beyond the boundaries of what we think we know.
Faith & Purpose
Faith has been the quiet constant throughout his life. While he has not always agreed with institutional religion, his personal relationship with God runs through everything he does — his work, his family, and his writing. Yearning for Acceptance and In Search of Truth both carry that spiritual thread at their core.
The Man
When he is not solving complex technical problems for clients — like the recent case of a token theft attack he tracked and resolved after days of relentless remote sessions — he can be found baking treats for his family, watching a favorite show, or quietly building what he hopes will become a written legacy for the people he loves most.
He dreams of that legacy. He is already writing it.
"I dream of creating a written legacy for my family. I am, at heart, a dreamer — and dreamers never really stop writing."
— Orville R. Wright, III
